I'll Be Waiting for You in Havana
Havana is the source of my inspiration — the most beautiful, wildly alive city on earth, and the place I miss the moment I leave. So of course I paint her. My paintings carry stories of men and women, the city's beauty, the sweetest fruits, the sea, and the simple joy of being alive — all to a backdrop of music, with the scent of coffee, tobacco, salt, and ripe guava in the air, old cars rolling past, rain falling, the moon or sun overhead. Havana in all her beauty and singularity. That is how she lives in my thoughts....
